To promote medicinal plant cultivation, Karnataka Forest Department has planned to establish a Medicinal Plants Seed Center on a self-Sustaining basis. IDF provided services in ground work planning which inter alia included short listing of important medicinal plants based on conservation and market needs and assessment of demand and supply of the seed / planting material of shortlisted plants, development of propagation protocols and Seed Centre Operational Manual.
