Initiatives for Development Foundation (IDF) aims to achieve its mission through holistic approaches involving social mobilization, financial inclusion of the excluded sections and, promotion of prudent financial practices and sustainable livelihoods. It promotes sustainable agriculture and natural resource management as means of livelihood improvement among rural poor.
 
IDF is a social enterprise registered as a Trust under Indian Trust Act (Registration no. 179/2001- 02), based in Bangalore. Constituted on 15th November 2001. It works at grassroots level for empowerment of the underprivileged sections of the society and does research on development issues in India. IDF was authored by S2S Synergy to Solutions.
